We offer overwintered and new season nucleus colonies of bees headed by locally mated UK F1 Buckfast queens. These nucs are produced from strong, healthy colonies and are suitable for both beginner and experienced beekeepers.
Each nucleus consists of six frames containing a balanced mix of brood at all stages, food stores, and a proven laying queen. Our Buckfast queens are selected for calm temperament, productivity, and suitability to the UK climate.
Overwintered nucs provide a strong early-season start, while new season nucs are built up carefully to ensure colony health and stability before sale. All nucs are inspected prior to collection and supplied ready for transfer into a full hive.
Nucs are available in either poly nuc boxes or correx boxes, depending on preference. This product is collection-only and intended for local or regional beekeepers. Availability is seasonal and limited.
